Bethany Korwin-Mihavics
Position title: Postdoctoral Scholar

Bethany received her doctoral degree in Cellular, Molecular, and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Vermont, where she developed small intestine organoid models of Cryptosporidium infection and developed tools for exploring Cryptosporidium’s sexual reproduction. As a postdoc, she is exploring the interplay between the intestinal microbiota, enteric parasitic infection, and immune responses. Her non-scientific interests in no particular order include: pottery, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, crochet, crafting, dancing, skiing (nordic and alpine), hiking, cooking, and baking.
